Who we are
Quantum Canvas is operated by Quantum Canvas Technologies Pty Ltd (ABN 50 690 098 590, ACN 690 098 590), of QLD 4005, Australia. In this policy "we" and "us" mean that entity. You can reach us at admin@quantumcanvas.app.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the quantumcanvas.app website. It does not cover the Quantum Canvas mobile application, which is not yet released and will have its own policy.
What we collect
If you join the beta waitlist, we collect your email address and the date you submitted it.
That is all. We do not ask for your name, we have no accounts on this site, and we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. No cookie banner appears because there is nothing to consent to.
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard server request data such as IP address in the course of serving the page and protecting it from abuse. We do not have access to that data as an identifiable record and do not use it to identify you.
Why we collect it, and on what basis
We use your email address for one purpose: to tell you when the Quantum Canvas beta is open, and occasionally about its progress before then.
We do not send marketing about anything else, we do not sell or rent the list, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
Where the GDPR applies to you, our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. Where the Australian Privacy Act applies, we collect this information because it is reasonably necessary for the activity described above.
Where it is stored
The list is held in a Postgres database operated by Supabase, hosted in the United States. The site itself is served by Cloudflare, whose network is global.
This means your email address may be stored or processed outside Australia and outside the EEA/UK. Where required, these transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, for the UK, the ICO's International Data Transfer Addendum, both of which are incorporated into our processors' data processing agreements.
Under Australian Privacy Principle 8, we remain accountable for how our overseas processors handle your information, and by submitting the form you consent to it being stored in the United States.
The waitlist table is configured so it cannot be read from the website; only we can access it.
How long we keep it
Until the beta launches and you have been notified, or until you ask us to remove you — whichever comes first. If the beta has not launched within 24 months of your signing up, we will delete your address.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what we hold about you
- correct it
- delete it
- stop contacting you
Email admin@quantumcanvas.app and we will act within 30 days. There is no cost, and you do not need to give a reason.
Every email we send will also carry an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes you from the list entirely.
If you are in the EEA or UK you also have the right to object to processing, to request portability, and to complain to your data protection authority. In Australia, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will remove the address.
Security
The waitlist is stored with access controls that prevent it being read from the public site. Transport is encrypted (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise; if a breach affecting your data occurs we will notify you and the relevant regulator where the law requires it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. If the change is significant — for example if we begin collecting something new — we will email everyone on the list before it takes effect.
